Dr. Kinkade specializes in helping those who have lost some of their vision. You are not alone. One in every 20 Americans has low vision and the number is increasing.
Low vision means that you have difficulty seeing and your eyesight cannot be corrected with regular glasses, surgery or medication. The good news is the majority of people with low vision have useable eyesight.
Dr. Kinkade prescribes custom vision-enhancing glasses. These glasses include high power lenses, prismatic and compound reading lenses, and miniature spectacle-mounted telescopes.
These glasses are prescribed to improve your ability to see up close (i.e., read, write, see the computer) and see in the distance (i.e., driving, watching television, or recognizing faces).

If these specialty glasses are not functional for your needs there are other technological advancements that can. Together we can maximize your vision with today’s technological advancements.
The fee of the evaluation is $295 and is not covered by insurance. The cost of the vision-enhancing glasses is between $500 and $2,500 depending on your needs.
Dr. Kinkade treats patients at the Advance Low Vision Solution Center at Vision Dynamics in Cheshire, CT. In addition to his multiple Connecticut practices he treats patients in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York.
