The Scholar also automatically detects and plays MP3 and consumer CDs.

The Scholar supports all DAISY navigation levels such as go to chapter, section, level page, paragraph and allows user to place custom bookmarks using a numeric keypad. Primary controls are distinguished by larger size and tactile rubber construction, while secondary controls are smaller and feature a chrome finish.
